Magnificent Tapestries arrive in Stirling Castle's Royal Palace
Four fabulous tapestries have been hung on the walls of Stirling Castle’s Royal palace – marking a key moment in a £2 million weaving project. They are the first of a series of seven which are being hand-woven for the Queen’s Inner Hall, one of six apartments within the castle’s palace block which are being returned to how they may have looked in the 1540s.

Top Renaissance Talent Unveiled for Stirling Castle Palace Grand Opening
The colourful line-up costumed performers has been unveiled for a right royal weekend of entertainment celebrating the reopening of the castle’s spectacular Renaissance palace.
Tickets are now on sale for this very special event, entitled Stirling Castle Presents – a Palace Fit for a Queen, which takes place on 4 and 5 June.

Tickets now on sale for Stirling Castle Palace spectacular opening celebrations
Tickets are now on sale for the grand opening of Stirling Castle’s Renaissance royal palace following a £12 million refurbishment. A magnificent weekend of celebrations are in store which will feature 60 costumed performers, lots of entertainments and – most important of all – a chance to be among the first to tour the palace.

Easter feasting with the Royal Stewarts
Visit Stirling Castle this weekend. See some of the fabulous dishes that Stewart kings and queens would have tucked into when they celebrated Easter at Stirling Castle. Treats like a trout presented to look like it’s swimming up a bed of seaweed, will be displayed on the high table in the Great Hall over the holiday weekend, starting on Friday 22nd April.

Army pipers and drummers in spectacular challenge at Stirling Castle
Officer training corps from across Scotland meet to compete. Up to 60 pipers and drummers will gather at Stirling castle for a spectacular military musical competition. All are members of the British Army’s Officer Training Corps (OTC) and are taking degrees at universities in the Stirling/Fife area, or in Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen. It is the first time this annual contest has been staged in public, rather than at a barracks, and will take place in the spectacular setting of Stirling Castle from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, 19 March.
