We’re delighted to announce that the Stirling Castle website has won a prestigious award. Earlier this month it was named winner of the CiB Scotland Best Website Award for 2009. The Communicators in Business judges said: “the website is well designed, easy to navigate and makes use of good images.”

The award shows that a dedicated team can achieve outstanding results even with modest resources. Our special thanks goes to Ruth Paterson, eCommunications Officer who is the website’s driving force. Our award entry drew attention to the e-newsletter and weekly blog as examples of the things we do to involve people with all that’s going on at the castle.

It’s the second time Historic Scotland has won an award in this category – last year it was for Edinburgh Castle – so we’re really pleased that our websites are being recognised for keeping our visitors informed and entertained.
