Among the entertainers at the Easter Revelry event will be the talented John the Jester. He’ll be amazing the crowds with his juggling skills and performing tremendous tricks with the diablo.

“Children just love these kinds of things, and it’ll be great fun wandering round the castle doing tricks for the crowd. The whole event looks like it’ll be great, with lots to do and watch. And Stirling Castle is a brilliant place for events like this because of its remarkable history, and because it is such a beautiful place,” said John, real name Allen Goldie.

John is among the very best in Scotland with the diablo, able to make it do all sorts of magnificently complex things. But the big crowd pleaser tends to be throwing it as high in the air as possible then catching it again on its string. Indeed, he’s a national champion diablo thrower and reckons he can hurl it 50 to 60 feet in the air.

“I love events like this because you meet so many people from all round the world, and it’s just really pleasing to see so many people just out there enjoying themselves on a really good day out,” he added.
