Great Hall

Great HallStirling Castle's beautifully restored 16th -century Great Hall is considered to be one of Scotland’s most prestigious banqueting venues and provides an unforgettable setting for a truly memorable wedding reception.

Ample space

The raised dais area is perfect for your evening reception entertainment and dancing. With the minstrels’ gallery and trumpeter’s loft, the Great Hall is an ideal venue for great celebrations.


Chapel Royal

Chapel RoyalStirling Castle's Chapel Royal offers a spectacular area for a wedding ceremony, wedding reception, or pre-dinner drinks for those dining in the Great Hall.

The Chapel Royal is entered through an imposing doorway within a triumphal arch surround and the interior is decorated with a painted frieze, dating back to 1628.

Entertainment

The Chapel has a large stage, ideal for entertainment or drinks following a wedding ceremony.


Queen Anne Garden

Queen Anne gardensSituated close to the entrance of Stirling Castle, the Queen Anne Garden provides the perfect setting for pre-dinner drinks on a summer evening and wedding photography.

Scenic and peaceful surrounding

The Renaissance splendour of the palace apartments adds a stunning backdrop to the tranquil surroundings of the garden, along with magnificent views over Stirling.


Argyll’s Lodging

Argyll's Lodging, a beautifully restored Renaissance town house at the foot of Stirling Castle is available for intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions. We can provide daytime ceremonies in Argyll’s Lodging for up to 60 guests, with the breathtaking entrance courtyard and rear walled garden available for drinks following the ceremony. For receptions, the smaller upstairs rooms would be utilized as the dramatic backdrop for the Wedding Breakfasts, with a maximum capacity of 32 guests.

Weddings would have exclusive use of the entire venue for the duration of their booking and the grounds provide a wonderful backdrop for photographs. Wedding guests can be entertained with a private guided tour to give guests an insight to this wonderful building and the people who lived within it.
