Just have an hour, or maybe two to visit the castle? Here are some suggestions of what you can do by the hour.

1 hour

Recently restored to it’s Renaissance magnificence, the Royal Palace of James V is the jewel in Stirling Castle’s crown. Visitors can view the King and Queen’s apartments, see the famous Stirling Heads and come face to face with characters from the 16th century Stewart Court.



2 hours

  • Recently restored to it’s Renaissance magnificence, the Royal Palace of James V is the jewel in Stirling Castle’s crown. Visitors can view the King and Queen’s apartments, see the famous Stirling Heads and come face to face with characters from the 16th century Stewart Court.

  • The Stirling Castle Guided Tour is a great introduction to the royal buildings as well as some of the castle more infamous and colourful characters.


3 hours
