Christmas wrapping:

During our late opening evenings (5pm – 8pm on Wednesdays 9th, 16th and 23rd December) and on Sunday 20th from 12.00 until closing, Cherene from Wrapistry will demonstrate Christmas wrapping suggestions.

Our Clan & Christmas Shop is back for its second year and is even bigger and better this time!

Filled with festive goodies including gifts, toys, homeware, decorations and food & drink

We have five festive themes sure to appeal to different tastes. Our Christmas Fun section caters for children and families and features traditional toys and gifts and plenty of Santas. Sparkling Christmas offers lots of lovely pastels for those looking for a more subtle approach to decorating. Our Traditional Scottish section is ideal for those who love the classic red and greens of the season along with rich tartans while Highland Christmas is more masculine, incorporating pared back designs with warm copper tones. And then there’s our Banqueting table packed with fantastic festive fayre including many lines from local suppliers.

This year we’re also introducing a programme of late night shopping and festive activities throughout December. Sign up to our e-newsletter to find out more.

Located on the castle’s esplanade, the Clan & Christmas Shop is open to locals as well as visitors to the castle and there is no cost for entry. There is also free parking on the esplanade for up to an hour for shoppers.

The shop is open daily from 9.30am until 5pm

Palace Gift Shop
The Palace Gift Shop offers a wide range of luxury gifts and exclusive merchandise, reflecting the Palace interior. You will find our full tapestry range based on the Hunt of the Unicorn Series of tapestries on display in the Palace, including many items exclusive to Historic Scotland.

Other exclusive items include gifts of the Stirling Heads, jewellery inspired by the Renaissance pieces once worn by James and Mary, including a splendid Mary of Guise necklace and a children's range inspired by the endearing Stirling Mice.

The Courtyard Gift Shop
Once the Castle's cart shed, the Courtyard Shop has been redesigned to reflect its origins. It stocks a wide range of gifts and souvenirs to remind you of your day. It also stocks a wide range of jewellery, textiles, ceramics and books. There is certainly something to suit everyone - a gift for you, family and friends.

Trace your ancestry
We also offer our visitors the chance to "trace" their ancestry. There is a Genealogy PC with over 150,000 names in its database. A variety of genealogical scrolls are available to print out and take home, allowing you to celebrate your Scottish heritage.
