Points Of Interest Map

Access for all

Historic Scotland offers free entry for one-to-one carers accompanying disabled visitors.


Courtesy Vehicle
Stirling Castle has a courtesy vehicle for visitors who have difficulty with steep inclines and steps.

Wheelchair Users
The castle apartments are accessible by wheelchair. The areas which cannot be reached in a wheelchair are the Museum of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, the medieval kitchens and the Elphinstone Tower.

Braille
Braille information boards are on display and a braille guidebook is available from the gift shop.

Disabled Toilets & Baby Changing
Disabled access toilets and baby changing facilities are available at the Guardroom Square and the Great Hall.

Dogs
Only guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted in the castle.

Parking
Parking, including disabled spaces, is available on the castle's esplanade. More information on parking.
