A Family Affair

Come along to a Stewart Christmas for a fun-filled family day during the festive period.

Costumed characters at Stirling

Enjoy this very light hearted and slightly irreverent return to the period of Mary, Queen of Scots and find out what Christmas would have been like in the Royal Stewart Court of the 16th-century. What would Christmas dinner have been?  Were there presents?

Discover the entertainments that the young queen would have indulged in. Wonder at the skill of our highly trained juggler and enjoy the mini pantomime as Baron Hardegg and his incompetent Squire, Hugo Softboiled, make an appearance.

There’s also a chance to get involved with renaissance games, trying on period fashions and having a go at renaissance dancing.

A fun and family orientated event.

When

A Stewart Christmas takes place on Sunday 11th December, 2011 12.30-3.30pm and is included in entry price to Stirling Castle
