Fun for Kids
Two of our most successful children’s activities are back by popular demand! Led by education officer Kirsten Wood, the workshops are a great way for primary age kids to have creative fun while enjoying a family visit to the castle.

Courtly Life sessions
Saturday 16 and Sunday 17, April, from 10.30am to noon and 1.30pm to 3.00pm each day.
They are a chance to dress up in costume, try out some Renaissance courtly dancing and handle objects to learn about life in the past.
Heads of Clay
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May, from 10.30am to noon and 1.30pm-3.00pm both days.
Children can make their own air-drying clay version of one of the famous Stirling Heads. The Stirling Heads are impressive 16th century oak carvings which show the faces of kings, queens, emperors, heroes and characters from the Scottish royal court including a jester and a poet. The children can take their model home and paint it.
Admission
The activities are included in the entry price to the castle, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
