Some of the best known characters in Stirling Castle’s royal household will be heading off on tour to spread the word about all there is happening over the next few months.

             

For the first time Historic Scotland will be taking the Stirling Castle Road Show to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee.

The truck will be decorated with the castle’s own Unicorn emblem and will offer city centre shoppers the chance to pop in and find out about events and what is on offer at the castle for a great day out.

Marketing Executive Nicola McCrae has masterminded the whole project. She said: “We are really excited to be able to use this new way to promote the castle and visitor experience at Stirling.

“We know from visitor feedback that we have a unique and fantastic attraction and now we can take to road to show people around the country and tempt them to come and visit us.”

Visitors at each location will be able to win an overnight stay in Stirling and visit to the castle. For your chance to win get these dates in your diary and come along and meet some of the Castle team from both the 16th and 21st centuries!

Edinburgh’s Castle Street on Sunday September 25th from 11am to 3pm

Dundee city centre on Saturday October 8th from 11am to 3pm

George Square in Glasgow on Saturday October 15th from 11am to 3pm
