Christmas at Stirling Castle

Our festive programme gets underway early this year when our Clan & Craft Gift Shop on the esplanade gets a Christmas makeover. Clan & Christmas will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring sparkling decorations and special holiday gifts. Our Christmas Shopping Fayre is also back by popular demand. Taking the stress out of holiday shopping, the evening will showcase well known Scottish brands alongside local arts, crafts, fine food and drink.

There will be fun for all the family at our Medieval Merriment event where visitors can step back in time and join the royal court as they celebrate the festive season. Experience the traditions of a medieval feast and enjoy music, dancing and games as the court are entertained throughout the afternoon.

To complete our diverse line-up we are delighted to welcome back the Stirling contingent of the National Youth Choir of Scotland. Carols at The Castle will feature traditional carols as well as popular Christmas songs.

So get ready to head first in to festive fun at Stirling Castle this Christmas.

This year our Christmas Lunches are getting a royal upgrade with a move to the castle’s Green Room. Nestled under the Great Hall, the room, which is not open to daytime visitors, offers a pleasant and private space for our diners who can look forward to a delicious menu featuring traditional, contemporary and quality dishes.

Enjoy a scrumptious 3-course Christmas lunch for £31.95 per adult (£19.80 per child). This includes all day entry to the Castle so get together with friends and family and make a festive day of it.

Date:  16, 17, 18 & 23 December 2014
