Visitors at the beginning of this week might notice some extra comings and goings at the castle. It is all in preparation for Stirling Castle playing host to BBC One’s Great British Weather Show.
Work will begin on Tuesday night to build the set that hosts Alexander Armstrong, Chris Hollins and Carol Kirkwood will broadcast from on the Wednesday night (3rd August) for the live broadcast.
The castle will be open to visitors as usual on Wednesday though the stage area at the side of the esplanade will remain cordoned off until the programme is broadcast.
Guests on the live show include John Kettley, Bill Giles and Michael Fish. If you are interested in attending email greatbritishweather@bbc.co.uk for details.
Fingers crossed for a bright and beautiful evening.
