This weekend (1st & 2nd Oct) at Stirling Castle, we will be celebrating the Feast of Michaelmass. The feast traditionally celebrated the collection of the harvest. You can see the chefs at work and discover what was involved in preparing for this royal feast.
There will also be the chance to take part in some Renaissance games and find out more about the fashion, music and dance of the time. For those who prefer the military over music, there will be a display of 16th century arms and armour.
If you have not yet had a chance to see the magnificent newly refurbished Palace apartments, this is the prefect occasion to come along and enjoy the beautiful interiors and take part in a Royal celebration. The event takes place throughout the Castle from 12pm-4pm on both days and is included in the castle admission.
