If you fancy some regal jewellery to indulge your glamorous side, be sure to check out the newly-delivered stock at the castle shops.
Skilled jewellery designers were invited to take their inspiration from various aspects of the Palace, such as the artwork which embellishes the royal apartments, in order to design a series of beautiful pieces. These range from charm bracelets featuring the Fleur de Lys motif to a necklace which is a modern take on one shown in a portrait of Mary of Guise.
These lovely bespoke souvenirs of our Renaissance palace have just gone on sale as we continue the countdown to its grand opening on 4th and 5th June, Stirling Castle Presents – A Palace fit for a Queen.
Our refitted shops are also offering the chance to own your very own ‘Hunt of the Unicorn’ replica tapestry. You can choose from various designs in different shapes and sizes, all of which show the incredible detail of the fantastic tapestries gracing the palace. And these also feature on some lovely chinaware including plates and mugs. Eagle-eyed young visitors might spot that one design, ‘The Capture of the Unicorn’, was seen in the Room of Requirement in the film, ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’.
You can also have your very own Stirling Head as a range of coasters and fridge magnets have been created in the style of some of the most famous of the wonderful carved roundels which adorn the ceiling of one of the royal apartments. And we also have a limited edition Stirling Castle calendar in stock.
Don’t miss these great reminders of our palace opening – and if you haven’t yet done so, do book now for tickets so you don’t miss the pageantry and entertainments of our great launch weekend.
